Dr. Barry Sears is a leading authority
in the field of dietary control of hormonal response.
A former research scientist at the Boston University School of Medicine and the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Sears has dedicated his research efforts over
the past 25 years to the study of lipids. He

health and in private practice. Gittleman holds a Ph.D. in holistic nutrition, is a

Tamara
Sachs, MD
has held a private practice in Internal Medicine in New Milford, Connecticut for the past
twelve years. She obtained her Bachelor
of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Philosophy from Hunter College of the City of New York
and completed her doctoral training at Mount
Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Completed
her internship and Internal Medicine residency at St. Raphaels Hospital and Yale
University in New Haven, Connecticut. She has
Advanced
Training in Clinical Nutritional and Complementary and Alternative Medicine. She is currently a member of the Multidisciplinary
Committee for Cancer Care and has previously held positions as the Chairperson for the
Collaborative Practice Committee and as a member of the Ethics Committee for New Milford
Hospital. She just completed a three-year
term as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for WomenHeart The National
Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. Her
professional memberships include: Connecticut
State Medical Society, Litchfield County Medical Society, American Nutraceutical
Association, American Institute for Cancer Research, and the National Coalition for Women
with Heart Disease. She has been published
several times and is a frequent lecturer on issues involving Community Health and

Betty
Kamen,
with graduate degrees in psychology and nutrition education, is internationally known as a
distinguished author, lecturer, and nutrition consultant. Betty is in constant
demand as a radio and TV talk show guest and host, with countless media appearances to her
credit. More than 500 articles written by Dr. Kamen have been published in national
magazines. She has 17 books in print and several booklets for eminent publishers. She is an honorary member of the Indonesian Medical Society, and is
well-known in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan. |

Dr.
Oscar Rasmussen,
has consulted with YFH for over fifteen years. His degrees include a B.S. in Agriculture,
a Masters in Animal Science, a Ph.D. in Nutrition with a minor in Biochemistry and
Physiology from the University of Illinois. In addition, he has the following
certifications: Laboratory Director, C.C.N. (Certified Clinical Nutritionist), C.N.S.
(Certified Nutritional Specialist), R.N.C. (Registered Nutritional Consultant Canada),
Licensed Dietician/Nutritionist, State of New York.

Randy
Trowbridge, MD
has served as the Medical Director of Team Rehab in Danbury, CT since 1994. He obtained
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and
a Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology from
Columbia University. He attended
Medical School at New York
Medical College. Upon completion of his
formal studies, he interned in Internal Medicine at Danbury Hospital (Yale Affiliate) and
then entered his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine & Montefiore Medical Center.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation and he is also a member of the Academy of Pain Management, American Medical
Association, Connecticut State Medical Society, Connecticut Society of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilittation, and the Fairfield County Medical Society.
