Dear YFH,

Wanted to take a few short minutes to let you know how wonderfully everything has gone for us this last year and a half.  No thank you cards or any gift could ever let you know how truly appreciative we are of all the help you were to my wife and I over that time.

Initially, my wife and I were grasping for straws during years of trying to have a child, we’d really even resigned ourselves to adoption.  In our last attempt, we changed doctors and started to work diligently with YFH after recommendations from others in our circumstance.  When we shared our news with our doctor (who sits on a prestigious international fertility board) about you he wholeheartedly agreed that it could certainly help along the process.  He even went so far as to look at Joan’s YFH blood test results and concurred with a number of your conclusions and noted how you tested for many more things than his office did.  He monitored our progress closely along with you.  I’ve never seen my wife more diligent about taking all her prescribed medications and health supplements. 

On Christmas morning, we took our second pregnancy test at the hospital in my wife’s hometown.  We waited for the results and one hour later the test came back.  The technician said she would call our doctor and that he would phone in the results later that day.  We had intended for this news to be our Christmas present, and the tech could tell we were visibly let down that they couldn’t share the news with us and everyone back at the house, who were already unwrapping presents.  She looked back at us and said that she wasn’t a doctor, but if they were her results she’d let everyone know about the baby on the way. 

It was our only Christmas present that year to each other.  It was the only thing we wanted.  Thanks for helping be a major part in bringing our daughter Olivia to us.  She has been a precious gift.

As Joan has been taking her supplements diligently daily, we hope to report some time this year another pending addition.
