| FAQ's E. Pricing &
Insurance
Q: How are your prices so low for the additional
tests?
A: Prices for
additional tests do not bear the burden of fixed expenses such as the doctor fee, the draw
fee and the shipping and handling fees that are included in the Basic HealthPrint and
Order Process Fee.
Q: Are there any hidden costs?
A: No. There are no hidden costs. Everything has been included in our up front
pricing.
Q: Why is the Omega 3 Profile + test so expensive?
A: The Omega 3 Profile + test (done on serum phospholipids) is a specialized test that looks at 36
parameters. The equipment is very new and
very expensive. There is only one lab in the
world that currently has the equipment to run this specialized test and it is not in the
United States, which adds significantly to the tests cost.
We would like to
highlight one additional point. We are such
advocates in the benefits of this test that we actually subsidize the cost of it in order
to make it as affordable as possible for our clients.
Q: Why arent the Thyroid, Cancer, Heart
Disease, and Special/Miscellaneous tests included in a Basic HealthPrint or Test Only
Wellness Panel?
A: The
Thyroid, Cancer, Heart Disease, and Special/Miscellaneous tests are specialty tests that
are available to you for customizing the basic panel of tests (Basic HealthPrint or Test
Only Wellness Panel) for the exact areas you are concerned about. Not everyone has the same concerns as you and they
do not want to be forced to pay for a test they do not care about.
Q: I already know my blood type. Can I get a discount off the new client
HealthPrint registration fee?
A: No. You wouldnt believe the number of times
clients (including doctors) have known their blood type, but were wrong. Our policy is to test every client the first time
they come to us so that we know with certainty.
Q: Why is the Test Only Wellness Panel so much less
expensive than the Basic HealthPrint?
A: The Test
Only Wellness Panel is less expensive than the Basic HealthPrint because the specialized
serum zinc and the manual differential and manual red blood cell morphology tests have
been removed. Also, no Health ScoreCard or
customized nutrition analysis is provided when testing in the Test Only division of our
company.
Q: What is the order process fee for?
A: There are certain fixed costs incurred when blood
testing (shipping a blood test kit, the doctor fee,
the draw fee, and shipping of results). These costs are the same whether one test or 70
tests are run. We cover these
costs in the order process fee. This allows
us to offer tests at very affordable prices (because we have already covered the fixed
costs in the order process fee). FYI-the
Basic HealthPrint already includes the Order Process Fee.
Q: Why is the HealthPrint Order Process Fee $115 and
the Test Only Order Process Fee only $95?
A: HealthPrint tests incur the same fixed costs as
Test Only tests (I.e. the $95). However, in
addition to these fixed costs, HealthPrint also provides you with customized nutrition
analysis and detailed suggestions to improve your results. These are not included when you use Test Only. Test Only assumes you will get a nutrition
interpretation from your health professional or that you are qualified to provide your own
interpretation.
Q: What is the New Client Registration fee for in the
HealthPrint division of your company?
A: The New
Client Registration fee is only paid the first time you test with us in the HealthPrint
division. It covers: establishing new client
files, running the ABO blood type test, providing and sending out your YFH Guide,
and other one-time costs associated with starting a new client
in the HealthPrint division.
Q: Will insurance or Medicare cover the costs for
these tests?
A: No. We do not work with private insurance, Medicare,
or Medicaid. Our process deals with
prevention and does not utilize diagnosis codes (CPT codes). Without diagnosis codes, blood tests will not be
covered or paid for by insurance or Medicare.
Q: Is my order refundable?
A: Yes, as long as
you request the refund before you have had your blood drawn. There can be no refund after that point since we
cannot return your blood and get a refund for the services performed. There is a $40.00 restocking fee if a refund is
requested before the draw to cover the costs involved in getting your order processed and
sent out. |
