Dear YFH,

Recently, I had to have surgery to remove an ovarian cyst the size of an orange! My doctor had not ordered the CA125 test on my routine GYN exam because I had no symptoms. I felt no pain. I was totally unaware that this cyst was growing so rapidly. After I took him my YFH results from my routine prevention blood test, he immediately ordered an ultrasound. Then after a few weeks another CA125 was ordered to see whether the score was getting higher.

I am so grateful that I ordered the CA125 test with my basic HealthPrint. My doctor said that this type of cyst could have grown to the size of a basketball. Thank goodness my insurance covered the ultrasound and the surgery. In fact, my doctor had no trouble getting my insurance company to cover everything because my CA125 test results provided the justification he needed.

I am writing to say thanks for being there for me. Without the ability to order this test and review my results with my doctor, my cyst could have ruptured before either of us would have known it was there. I am doing well and will return to work soon.

Once again, many thanks. I will be testing again in a few months just to be sure I am actually doing as well as I feel.
